Dare I say, that today is like year one
When your beautiful eyes had spun
A delightful snare,
Captivating me, taking me where –
There’s an oasis for our love and adventure.
Dare I say, that today is like year ten
When your smile so easily comforted me,
Lifted me, encouraged me
Helping to focus me –
On that oasis for our love and adventure.
Dare I say that today is like year 25
When so much was unsure and contrived.
Yet your sweetness could still cure
And take me with allure
To our oasis of love and adventure.
Dare I say that today is like year 35
Determined to stay alive,
When all around ranted,
We were learning to take nothing for granted
We were happy in our oasis of love and adventure.
So, now, today is today
No need a dare to say
Fleeced with joy, blue skies and tamed love
Of a golden fling extending and blessed from above.
In our oasis of love and adventure.
